Plasticine food models and accompanying explanation write-ups due Tuesday, April 10 (Titanic Day).
Each food item should have its own 4-5 sentence explanation of how it is prepared, eaten, and what it is typically made of. You may also wish to include interesting additional information about the food item.
The write up may be done by hand or typed. You may choose to present the writing on cards, strips of writing, or all on one sheet of paper.
Test on Japan the People on Tuesday, April 17. We will discuss a potential Japan celebration involving food on this date.
We started our project of making a traditional Japanese meal with plasticine today. We will work on the miniature models in-class next week and the finished models will be due Tuesday, April 10.
You may wish to bring a real dish or a takeout dish to use as part of the model.
Criteria:
- a full-course meal for one person
- Each meal item is accompanied by a paragraph explaining the item (ingredients included, how food is prepared, how it is eaten, etc.)
- realistic model (colour, texture, details)

We will be finishing up our Japan the People unit on Tuesday, April 3.
The Japan the People test will be on Tuesday, April 17 (April 10 we have blocked off as our Titanic centennial day). Bonus one mark for those of you who make a set of 10-15 flashcards.
